Benefits of Dry Brushing
Before Sauna Therapy

STIMULATES LYMPH DRAINAGE

As you may know, the body's lymphatic system is crucial for delivering cell nutrients and facilitating waste removal. Despite its effectiveness, this system operates independently, lacking a pump like our circulatory system. Consequently, a higher toxin load in your body makes it more challenging for the lymphatic system to function optimally.

However, incorporating dry brushing before each sauna session aids in activating the lymphatic system. By eliminating dead skin cells, unclogging pores, and strategically relocating toxins, dry brushing ensures they are poised for easy excretion. This pre-sauna ritual facilitates the lymphatic system in efficiently purging toxins during the sauna session, essentially priming you for maximum detoxification.

IMPROVES SKIN APPEARANCE

In addition to kickstarting your lymphatic system, as mentioned, dry brushing works its magic by banishing dead skin and clearing out those pesky pores. When you throw in the detoxifying power of the sauna on your skin, the result is leaving Facially Skin Bar with skin that feels softer and looks younger.

IMPROVES CIRCULATION

Dry brushing not only enhances circulation but also boosts blood flow to the skin. This sets the stage for optimal detoxification, as improved blood circulation ensures a more efficient flushing of toxins through perspiration.

OTHER BENEFITS OF DRY BRUSHING BEFORE A SAUNA INCLUDE:

  • Decreased bloating

  • Improved kidney function

  • Reduced cellulite

HOW TO DRY BRUSH THE RIGHT WAY AT HOME:

To maximize the benefits of dry brushing at home or before your sauna session at Facially Skin Bar, follow these steps:

  1. Opt for a soft, natural bristle brush for effective results.

  2. Always brush in an upward direction, starting from your feet and moving towards your upper body. Use gentle, sweeping strokes with light pressure. For areas with thicker skin, like the soles of your feet, apply slightly more pressure.

  3. Focus on brushing towards the heart and upper body to activate the lymphatic system for optimal effectiveness.

  4. Employ clockwise circular motions on the stomach, and sweep or brush towards the armpits on the arms. This targets lymph nodes, especially concentrated in the armpit area.

  5. Avoid dry brushing the face and the nipple area of your breasts.

  6. Ensure you perform dry brushing at least 5-10 minutes before entering the shower at home or the sauna to prep your skin for the detoxifying experience.
